Sklls is based in Stavanger, Norway. We provide AI-based simulation training to emergency services and emergency-preparedness teams across the Nordics, UK, EU and USA.
Who we are
We’re a small team of simulation and AI engineers with a single, narrow mission.
Sklls was founded in 2017 by a management team with decades of experience building a state-of-the-art simulation technology company in the energy sector. We took the same engineering rigour and pointed it at a different audience: the people who answer 112, 999 and 911.
The Sklls simulator for real-time communication training was initially funded by the Research Council of Norway, and developed in partnership with the Regional Centre for Emergency Medical Research and Development (RAKOS) and the Emergency Medical Communication Centre (AMK 113) in Stavanger.
Sklls is now used by emergency teams across the medical emergency sector, fire services and oil & gas industry, in the Nordics, UK, EU and USA.

From oil-and-gas simulators to emergency call training.
The technology that powers Sklls didn’t start out training operators. It started in critical-control simulation for the energy sector. The shift to emergency services came when our co-founders saw the same problem in a different room: people learning by doing, on calls where mistakes matter.
